The Davis Community, located at 1011 Porters Neck Road in Wilmington, North Carolina, is looking for enthusiastic part-time Waiters and Waitresses to join their team. Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- address complaints or issues promptly relaying information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
