Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on food and drink combinations
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • address complaints or issues promptly relaying information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • work with other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
