The Senate Dining Room, located at 2nd and D Streets Southwest in Washington, D.C., is seeking to hire a part-time Waiter/Waitress to join their esteemed team. Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests accordingly
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- handle cash and tickets properly
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
- maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information shared
- address complaints or issues promptly and escalate to supervisor
- ensure dining room setup before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
