Job Requirements

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to work Friday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate combinations
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and preferences demonstrating knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests accommodated
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
  • Operate various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • Work with other departments during special events and perform other duties as assigned
