Job Requirements
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Ability to work Friday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate combinations
- Accommodate reasonable requests and preferences demonstrating knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests accommodated
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- Operate various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- Work with other departments during special events and perform other duties as assigned
