Job Description
Texas Roadhouse at Fort Bliss, Texas, is a well-established restaurant known for its commitment to providing high-quality dining experiences with a focus on hospitality and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As part of the Texas Roadhouse brand, this location prides itself on exceptional customer service, mouth-watering steak and other classic American dishes, and a lively environment that appeals to both military personnel and their families as well as civilians in the community. The restaurant operates under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system, offering competitive compensation with opportunities for overtime, Sunday premium pay, and evening differential pay. This ensures that employees are fairly compensated for their dedication and flexibility in working hours.
This position is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who want to contribute positively to the dining experience at Texas Roadhouse. The role primarily involves providing excellent customer service in the dining room, including setting tables, arranging place settings and decorations, greeting guests, and offering dining suggestions. Employees will answer questions about the menu, including food and wine selections, take and place orders, and coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Collecting payments by cash or credit card and maintaining accurate sales records is another important responsibility. This role may also include supervisory tasks, such as providing work direction to other dining room staff members when necessary. The job requires the ability to maintain a clean and orderly dining area by clearing and cleaning tables and customer service zones throughout shifts.
Employment in this role requires meeting various federal and local regulations, including age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages and completion of necessary food sanitation and safety training. Candidates must be willing and able to work flexible schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays. A probationary period may be instituted for new hires to ensure the candidate meets job standards. Additional employment prerequisites include successful completion of background checks and an employment verification process via E-Verify.
Texas Roadhouse at Fort Bliss offers an inclusive work environment that welcomes worldwide candidates, including military spouse preference and involuntarily separated military preference individuals. Applicants are encouraged to submit detailed resumes that clearly illustrate relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. While this position does not require formal education qualifications, competencies such as basic math skills, effective English communication, and previous experience in similar roles are essential. The company's commitment to employee growth is reflected in its comprehensive onboarding, training, and ongoing refresher programs aimed at food safety and customer service excellence. This commitment helps employees excel and grow their careers within the Texas Roadhouse family.
Working for an Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) employer like Texas Roadhouse at Fort Bliss offers several unique benefits, including access to on-base amenities such as fitness centers and libraries. Eligibility for health and life insurance, 401(k) and retirement plans, paid personal time off, and federal holidays makes this an attractive job for those seeking stability and growth within a supportive work environment. Texas Roadhouse strives to foster a work culture aligned with the ideals of efficiency, dedication to service, and respect for the United States Constitution and the rule of law. Joining this team means becoming part of a community that values quality, teamwork, and making a difference in the lives of military families and local patrons alike.
