In this dynamic setting, the focus is always on creating unforgettable memories for travelers as they explore exceptional destinations. One of our standout vessels, the Pride of America, sails the breathtaking Hawaiian Islands, offering guests unique cultural experiences combined with the relaxation and excitement of cruising.
Joining Norwegian Cruise Line means becoming part of a professional and passionate team dedicated to excellence in hospitality and customer service. As a global company, we strive to foster a welcoming and inclusive work atmosphere, supporting career growth and providing employees with rewarding work and lifestyle opportunities at sea. The company embraces innovation and service, setting the standard for the cruise industry with a focus on superior guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
About the Role: We are currently seeking skilled and enthusiastic Waiters to join our prestigious restaurant team aboard the Pride of America Cruise Ship. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $16.50 per hour and the unique experience of living and working at sea while traveling through the unparalleled beauty of the Hawaiian Islands.
In this role, you will be a vital member of the restaurant team, directly impacting guests' dining experiences by delivering outstanding service and assistance to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize food and beverage revenues. You will be responsible for following established service strategies, optimizing up-sell opportunities, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and station organization. Your duties will include complying with the sequence of service for food and beverages, supervising assistant waiters, resolving service or product issues promptly, and assisting with buffet and room service operations as needed.
Safety and environmental protection are critical priorities on board, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to our Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and procedures regarding your position. This role offers variety, including occasional work at buffet action stations like carving or dessert stations, participation in private parties and functions, and contributing to training assistant waiters and restaurant stewards.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, exhibits professionalism and respect for colleagues and guests, maintains excellent personal hygiene and appearance, and is eager to create a positive, fun, and exciting environment for everyone. This position requires flexibility to work seven days a week during the cruise schedule.
Working at Norwegian Cruise Line offers more than just a job; it offers a lifestyle, continual professional development, and the chance to explore the world while doing what you love. If you have previous front waiter experience in fine dining or banquet service, preferably in a 3- to 4-star land-based hotel, resort, or large restaurant, or similar shipboard experience, this opportunity may be perfect for you. We value experience with selling and serving wine and beverages, excellent customer service skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Embark on an extraordinary career journey with Norwegian Cruise Line and help us set the standard for impeccable service on the high seas.
