Job Requirements

  • minimum of two years experience as front waiter with fine dining and banquet service
  • minimum of one year experience selling and serving wine and beverages
  • ability to work seven days a week
  • professional appearance and good hygiene
  • respect for co-workers and guests
  • familiarity with safety and environmental protection policy
  • ability to follow established service strategies and up-sell opportunities
  • capable of supervising and instructing assistant waiters

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of two years experience as front waiter with fine dining and banquet service in 3 to 4 star hotel resort, or large free-standing restaurant, or previous shipboard experience
  • minimum of one year experience selling and serving wine and beverages
  • passionate about hospitality and customer service
  • professional appearance and good hygiene
  • respect for co-workers and guests
  • pride in work with positive energy and fun
  • able to work seven days a week

Job Duties

  • assist with achieving departmental guest satisfaction targets and food and beverage revenues by following established service strategies and optimizing up-sell opportunities
  • perform related duties as assigned
  • follow safety and environmental protection policies
  • ensure assigned station is properly cleaned and set-up at the end of the meal period and all side-work is complete
  • comply with sequence of service for food and beverage and instruct assistant waiters
  • resolve service and product deficiencies
  • man non-cooking buffet action stations
  • deliver amenities on embarkation day
  • assist with room service deliveries
  • assist with private parties and functions
  • assist with training assistant waiters and restaurant stewards
