The current opportunity is for dedicated Waiters to join the restaurant team on the Pride of America ship. Job Requirements

  • minimum of two years experience as a front waiter with fine dining and banquet service experience in 3 star to 4 star land-based hotel or resort, free-standing restaurant with at least 180 seats, or previous shipboard experience in a similar position
  • minimum of one year experience selling and serving wine and other beverage products
  • able to work seven days a week
  • must have a professional appearance and good hygiene
  • must be passionate about hospitality and customer service
  • must respect all co-workers and guests

Job Duties

  • assist with achieving departmental guest satisfaction targets and food and beverage revenues by following established service strategies and optimizing up-sell opportunities
  • perform other related duties as assigned or as directed
  • ensure that assigned station is properly cleaned and set-up at the end of the meal period and that all assigned side-work is complete
  • comply with sequence of service for food and beverage and direct and instruct assistant waiters to ensure timeliness of service to guests
  • resolve any service and/or product deficiencies that may occur to ensure satisfaction of service with guests in assigned station
  • perform other jobs as assigned, including manning non-cooking buffet action stations, delivering amenities on embarkation day, assisting with room service deliveries, assisting with private parties and functions, assisting with conducting service training with assistant waiters and restaurant stewards
