Job Duties
- Follow a predetermined menu to prepare food and pastries
- compile daily reports ensuring transaction and meal planning accuracy
- understand meal components to confirm inclusion
- store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- serve food to patrons as per schedule and guidelines
- apply and maintain culinary utensils with focus on blades
- ensure timely preparation of food items and beverages
- enhance food aesthetics via garnishing
- assist with cleaning refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking/serving devices
- uphold food safety standards including hygiene, handling, and storage
- comply with uniform policy at all times
- coordinate daily with manager for menu planning
- monitor food temperatures for storage and serving
- maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
- disinfect work stations including steam tables and machinery
- perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- collect garbage and maintain clean kitchen floors
- perform additional duties as assigned including support in other kitchen departments
