Job Requirements

  • food service certification
  • ability to work under pressure
  • physically capable of lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • compliance with uniform and PPE guidelines
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to follow safety and hygiene protocols

Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare food and pastries
  • compile daily reports ensuring transaction and meal planning accuracy
  • understand meal components to confirm inclusion
  • store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • serve food to patrons as per schedule and guidelines
  • apply and maintain culinary utensils with focus on blades
  • ensure timely preparation of food items and beverages
  • enhance food aesthetics via garnishing
  • assist with cleaning refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking/serving devices
  • uphold food safety standards including hygiene, handling, and storage
  • comply with uniform policy at all times
  • coordinate daily with manager for menu planning
  • monitor food temperatures for storage and serving
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • disinfect work stations including steam tables and machinery
  • perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • collect garbage and maintain clean kitchen floors
  • perform additional duties as assigned including support in other kitchen departments
