Job Requirements

  • Food service certification
  • ability to work under pressure
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • willing to comply with uniform and PPE guidelines
  • physically able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for long periods
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together a daily report ensuring accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • understand meal components to confirm their inclusion
  • store food properly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • serve food to patrons per scheduled meal times and regulations
  • maintain and apply culinary utensils with a focus on blades
  • prepare food items and beverages promptly
  • enhance food aesthetics through garnishing
  • assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • uphold food safety standards including hygiene, handling, and storage
  • comply with uniform policy
  • coordinate daily with manager for menu planning
  • monitor food temperatures for storage and serving
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • carry out general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • ensure garbage collection and clean kitchen floors
  • perform additional duties as required, including aiding different kitchen departments
