Job Duties
- Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
- Put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
- Grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
- Store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
- Apply and maintain culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
- Ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
- Elevate the visual appeal of meals and enhance guest enjoyment through garnishing
- Provide help with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
- Uphold all requirements related to food safety, including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
- Comply with the established uniform regulations at all times
- Daily interaction with the manager to understand and properly plan the day’s menu
- Ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
- Maintain hygiene by keeping work areas clean and disinfected, including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- Implement cleanliness procedures such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Ensure garbage is collected and kitchen floors are clean for hygiene
- Fulfill other duties as required, including aiding different kitchen departments
