The Waiter position at Aramark is integral to supporting food service operations by ensuring excellent meal preparation, presentation, and service standards. This role involves collaborating closely with the management team to maintain high food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards, while actively participating in daily operational tasks such as report generation, cash receipts monitoring, and meal record maintenance. As a Waiter, you will follow predetermined menus to prepare and serve meals and pastries while adhering to strict food storage and handling guidelines to prevent contamination and spoilage.

This position requires attention to detail in meal components and garnishing to enhance the dining experience visually and gastronomically. Efficient and timely food preparation and serving during scheduled meal times are critical for customer satisfaction and operational flow. Additionally, maintaining culinary utensils, especially blades, and assisting with kitchen sanitation including refrigeration, freezers, and other cooking and serving devices is part of the daily responsibilities.

Physical demands of the role include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods. Compliance with uniform policies and appropriate usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure personal safety and professional presentation. The Waiter will also actively contribute to cleanliness in work and storage areas, carrying out general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and garbage collection to uphold hygiene standards.

Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • Put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • Grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • Store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • Deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • Apply and upkeep culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
  • Make sure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
  • Elevate the visual appeal of meals and enhance guest enjoyment through garnishing
  • Provide help with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • Uphold all requirements related to food safety, including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
  • Comply with the established uniform regulations at all times
  • Daily interaction with the manager for menu coordination and planning
  • Ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • Keep work areas clean and disinfected, including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • Implement cleanliness procedures like sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Ensure garbage is collected and kitchen floors are kept clean
  • Fulfill other duties as required, including aiding different kitchen departments
