Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • Put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • Grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • Store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • Deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • Apply and upkeep culinary utensils with a focus on blades
  • Ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
  • Elevate the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
  • Provide help with the sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • Uphold all requirements related to food safety including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
  • Comply with the established uniform regulations at all times
  • Coordinate daily with the manager for menu planning
  • Monitor food storage and serving temperatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • Keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • Perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Collect garbage and maintain hygienic kitchen floors
  • Fulfill other duties as required which may involve aiding different kitchen departments
