Job Duties
- Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
- Put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
- Grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
- Store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
- Apply and upkeep culinary utensils with a focus on blades
- Ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
- Elevate the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
- Provide help with the sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
- Uphold all requirements related to food safety including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
- Comply with the established uniform regulations at all times
- Coordinate daily with the manager for menu planning
- Monitor food storage and serving temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
- Keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- Perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- Collect garbage and maintain hygienic kitchen floors
- Fulfill other duties as required which may involve aiding different kitchen departments
