At Hillside, residents are provided an exceptional living environment designed to meet their unique needs with compassion, respect, and high-quality services. The community emphasizes a supportive and enriched lifestyle, ensuring residents receive personalized care and opportunities for engagement that promote overall well-being and happiness. Joining Hillside means becoming part of a mission-driven team that values the dignity and humanity of every individual.

The Server role at Hillside is a critical part of the dining services team, contributing directly to the quality of life of residents by providing excellent food service in a courteous and professional manner. This part-time position requires availability on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday during two possible shifts: 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM or 3:30 PM to 7 PM, with the schedule details further discussed at the interview. Compensation starts at $17 per hour and is commensurate with experience. The Server is responsible for day-to-day setup, clearing, cleaning, and resetting of the dining room, ensuring that the dining environment is clean, welcoming, and organized at all times. Key responsibilities include greeting residents and guests promptly, recording accurate orders using a POS system, explaining menu items in detail, and making recommendations, which demands strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

In addition to meal service, the Server supports other dining room functions such as bussing tables, refilling beverages, and assisting with catering duties as needed. This role demands consistent use of designated safety equipment to guarantee a safe work environment. HumanGood values customer service experience, especially with senior populations, and prefers candidates who hold Food Handler's or ServSafe certifications. Individuals with prior food service or restaurant experience, high school students, and those enthusiastic about working with seniors will find this role rewarding and impactful.
