The Wait Staff Tipped is responsible for presenting menus, taking accurate orders, serving a range of fresh, made-to-order entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience that exceeds customer expectations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • If applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
  • May require a valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, up to and exceeding 8 hours
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift frequently up to 35 pounds and occasionally move 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Significant walking or other means of mobility

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
  • Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform repetitive motions and physical tasks such as walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
