Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol if applicable
- may require valid TIPS or TEAM or equivalent alcohol-service certification
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, or pulling
- punctuality and regular attendance
- ability to taste and smell
- ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- if applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
- awareness of food safety and customer service best practices
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to follow instructions and provide attentive service
- basic math skills for handling cash and processing orders
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- perform significant walking or other means of mobility
- attend work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
