Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • must meet minimum age for serving alcohol if applicable
  • valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification if required
  • ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • good hand-eye coordination and sensory abilities
  • punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

  • knowledge of local city and state alcohol service age regulations
  • certification in TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service training if applicable

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests
  • present menus and introduce specials
  • provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine
  • answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen
  • confirm orders with guests and process them in the correct sequence
  • check all items for quality and completeness
  • monitor guest needs and respond to requests
  • address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • perform significant walking or other mobility
  • stand for extended periods during shifts
  • reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull
  • frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
  • use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach
  • taste and smell
  • perform repetitive motions
  • attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time
  • carry out other duties as assigned depending on business needs
