The Wait Staff Non-Tipped role at Sodexo’s DELTA SKY CLUB in Philadelphia offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, customer-centered environment. This is a full-time position with an hourly pay rate of $18.54. As part of the Sodexo team, the Wait Staff will be responsible for delivering attentive, professional service to guests by serving a variety of freshly made-to-order entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beverages. The role involves greeting guests, presenting menus, offering knowledgeable recommendations, accurately taking orders, and ensuring that all food and drink items meet quality standards before service. Working in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor.
The Wait Staff will work varying shifts including days, some weekends, and holidays, with more detailed schedules provided during the interview process. This position demands physical stamina including extended periods of standing or walking and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The role is vital in creating a memorable customer experience and requires adherence to all applicable local alcohol service laws and certifications if applicable. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- if applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
- may require a valid TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management), or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- the employee must be able to use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
- ability to taste and smell
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- perform significant walking or other mobility
- attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
