Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations if applicable
  • May require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification and compliance with local alcohol training
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes over 8 hours
  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands to handle, feel, or reach
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service with professionalism and friendliness
  • Knowledge of menu items including allergens and preparation methods
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and kitchen staff
  • Compliance with local alcohol service regulations, including any required certifications such as TIPS or TEAM
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
  • Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
