Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- if applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations
- may require valid TIPS or TEAM certification or equivalent
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- ability to use hands and arms effectively
- ability to taste and smell
- attend work and start shifts on time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- knowledge of customer service principles
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication skills
- ability to adhere to cleanliness and safety standards
- understanding of menu items and allergen information
- if applicable, must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol
- possession of valid alcohol-service certification such as TIPS or TEAM if required
- willingness to comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests
- present menus and introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine
- answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen
- confirm orders with guests and process them in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness
- ensure that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs
- respond to requests and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- perform significant walking or other means of mobility
- walk or stand for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours
- reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
- use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
- taste and smell
- perform repetitive motions
- attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- perform other duties as assigned
