Job Description
Paul's Run Retirement Community, located in Northeast Philadelphia, stands out as one of the premier senior health care providers in the region. Renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional care, Paul's Run prides itself on a dedicated and compassionate team that supports and enhances the lives of its residents daily. This esteemed facility emphasizes a family-oriented atmosphere where each member—staff and residents alike—is valued and respected. Joining Paul's Run means becoming part of a dynamic community focused on health, well-being, and outstanding service.
We are currently seeking Full-Time, Part-Time, and Pool/Per Diem Servers to join our enthusiastic and professional team. This role is essential in ensuring that the dining experience for our senior residents is elegant, enjoyable, and meets high standards for both service and presentation. Servers at Paul's Run are responsible for preparing visually appealing plates, executing proper service protocols, and managing plate sequencing to maintain a smooth and refined dining atmosphere. Beyond serving meals, the responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the dining room, kitchen, and pantry areas, which speaks to the importance placed on hygiene and orderliness within the facility.
The full-time position comes with additional responsibilities, including assisting with catering events held at the facility, allowing servers to engage with the community in special functions and celebrations. Shifts are thoughtfully scheduled to accommodate various availability needs: full-time servers work from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, including every other weekend; part-time schedules include evening shifts from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm or 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, also covering every other weekend; and pool/per diem roles offer flexible shift options as needed. This structure allows for a balanced work-life arrangement catering to diverse personal and professional situations.
Working at Paul’s Run offers more than just employment; it provides a chance to be part of an organization where quality and results are prioritized and staff are supported with generous benefits and professional development opportunities. Education-wise, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and while dietary experience is advantageous, Paul’s Run offers an inclusive environment for those eager to learn and grow in the role of server within a health care setting.
The community’s commitment to employee well-being is evident in the comprehensive benefits package, which includes outstanding medical, dental, and vision care, company-paid life insurance, and a retirement savings plan. Additional perks such as industry-leading paid time off, a convenient bus route directly to the facility via the 58 Bus, a tuition assistance program, and a unique paid six-week sabbatical available after seven years of full-time service make Paul’s Run an employer of choice in the Philadelphia area. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about serving others and contributing to a quality-first environment in senior care.
