Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience in sales and marketing or related areas
  • OR 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience
  • Preferred BT sales experience
  • Preferred group sales experience
  • Ability to effectively use CRM and sales information systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work full time on site in Scottsdale, Arizona
  • Eligibility to receive bonuses
  • Management position experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related area
  • Preferred qualifications include BT sales experience
  • Group sales experience
  • 4-year college degree with experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality sales
  • Knowledge of property-specific business segments such as group, catering, and transient
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry

Job Duties

  • Drive revenue from local accounts by proactively soliciting new business from small business accounts
  • Source new accounts and identify new targets
  • Re-solicit past business leads
  • Partner with account leaders to pull through business from customer accounts deployed outside the local market
  • Partner with the Sales Office to book group events within group booking parameters
  • Coordinate and execute site inspections and visits for off-property sales managers
  • Verify proper and timely business turnover for quality service delivery
  • Up-sell products and services to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Engage in proactive selling of all facilities such as Spa, Golf, and Restaurants to various guest segments
  • Assist with selling, implementation, and follow-through of sales promotions
  • Organize Familiarization Tours and customer events
  • Provide accurate turnover to Event Management and other sales channels
  • Attend pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs and feedback
  • Track bookings and leads from site visits
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers
  • Maintain up-to-date customer data and lead information
  • Utilize sales information systems to research accounts and market conditions
  • Participate in community and networking events to foster local business relationships
  • Implement brand service strategies to drive customer loyalty
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
