Job Description
The Niello Company is a well-established automotive dealership group with over a century of experience in providing outstanding customer service and high-quality vehicles. Founded in the early 1900s, The Niello Company has grown into one of the most respected and trusted names in the automotive industry, known for its commitment to excellence and community values. The company operates multiple dealership locations offering a wide range of new and pre-owned vehicles from various manufacturers. Its strong reputation is built on the pillars of integrity, customer satisfaction, and continuous innovation. With a dedicated workforce and a culture that fosters professional growth, the company emphasizes creating an inclusive environment where team members feel valued and empowered.
The Porter position at The Niello Company plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the dealership. This hands-on job involves maintaining the cleanliness and presentability of the dealership lot and vehicles, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers and prospective buyers. Porters are responsible for washing, cleaning, and detailing vehicles, including both the interior and exterior, as well as operating equipment such as buffers and steam-cleaning tools. The role requires vigilance in inspecting vehicles for defects, replenishing fuel, and managing the upkeep of the showroom and customer lounge areas. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical for this position.
Beyond vehicle care, Porters assist sales and service teams by organizing lot vehicles, tagging and labeling cars accurately, and facilitating the smooth flow of vehicle movement across the dealership and between locations. The job often requires interaction with customers, occasional driving duties including dealer swaps, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving automotive parts and equipment. This role demands reliability, a professional appearance, and excellent communication skills to represent The Niello Company’s standards effectively.
Employment is on an at-will basis, providing flexibility for both the employee and employer regarding separation of employment. Compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, dependent on location, experience, and skill levels. Some incumbents may also receive bonuses or commissions aligned with company policies. Working hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the dealership’s operational needs.
The Niello Company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health and well-being of both full-time and eligible part-time employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, along with access to health savings and flexible spending accounts. Additional coverages such as life insurance, disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan are available to eligible team members. Employees may also take advantage of an exclusive employee discount program and paid time off options that vary based on their role and tenure with the company.
Overall, the Porter role is integral to The Niello Company’s mission of delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining an attractive, efficient dealership environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, take pride in attention to detail, and desire to be part of a company with a strong legacy and commitment to employee and customer satisfaction.
