Charleston-AMG Specialty Hospital is currently seeking motivated Volunteer Receptionists to join our team. This position is vital for creating a positive first impression for every visitor and ensuring smooth communication within the hospital. Volunteer Receptionists will be responsible for greeting visitors warmly, managing the multi-line switchboard system, answering and forwarding phone calls professionally, and accurately recording messages. This role requires versatility and willingness to perform various administrative duties such as mail sorting and distribution, filing, faxing, copying, and other clerical tasks. Additionally, Volunteer Receptionists support hospital operations by handling data entry related to hospital supplies, therapy, and billing costs as well as overseeing office supply orders and inventory control. This multifaceted position demands the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

Job Requirements
- Must have at least a high school diploma
- Must be experienced in guest and/or reception
- At least one year of work experience is preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication
- Additional languages desirable
- Experience in answering multi-line switchboard and directing incoming calls
- Basic computer knowledge
- Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills

Job Duties
- Greet every visitor to the hospital professionally
- Answer and manage all telephone calls through a multi-line switchboard
- Forward calls appropriately to the correct person or department
- Accurately take and relay detailed messages as needed
- Perform clerical duties including mail sorting, filing, faxing, and copying
- Enter data related to hospital supplies, therapy, and billing costs
- Manage ordering and inventory control of office supplies
- Handle multiple work tasks efficiently under pressure
