The City has developed an organized volunteer program that encourages residents to participate in a range of activities, promoting recreation, athletic programs, and special community events throughout the year.

The volunteer role in Parkland is a rewarding position tailored for individuals who want to make a positive impact on their community while gaining valuable experience. Volunteers assist City staff by supporting various events and initiatives that enrich the quality of life for all residents. This dynamic role requires flexibility, enthusiasm, and a community-centered mindset. Volunteer activities often include engaging directly with community members to promote local recreational programs, assisting in the smooth execution of athletic activities, and providing logistical support during special events to enhance the attendees' experience. Through this service, volunteers not only contribute their time and energy but also help create an inclusive and welcoming environment that celebrates the City's diverse populations.

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for residents looking to get actively involved, build personal and professional networks, and develop new skills in event coordination, communication, and community outreach. Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring that Parkland’s events and programs run efficiently and safely, which directly impacts the success and enjoyment of community members. As such, this role is designed to be accessible to a wide range of individuals, requiring physical activity such as standing, sitting, bending, and occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds. The City prides itself on supporting its volunteers with clear guidance and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community programs.
