Job Description

SRM Concrete, also known as Smyrna Ready Mix, is a family-owned and values-driven leader in the ready mix concrete industry. Founded in 1999 with a single plant located in Smyrna, Tennessee, the company has experienced significant growth and now operates over 600 locations nationwide. SRM Concrete has built its reputation on the pillars of quality, integrity, and unparalleled customer service. The company's mission centers on serving its customers, communities, and team members with excellence every single day, making every load count. Known for its commitment to safety, consistency, and employee well-being, SRM Concrete strives to maintain a supportive and collaborative work environment where every team member's contributions are recognized and valued.

SRM Concrete is currently seeking skilled Volumetric Mixer Operators, also known as Ready Mix Truck Drivers, CDL Mixer Drivers, or Concrete Mixer Operators, to join its expanding team. These positions offer the opportunity to operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles to deliver ready mix concrete to various commercial and residential job sites. As a Mixer Operator at SRM Concrete, you will be the face of the company at job sites, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every delivery is safe, timely, and meets the highest quality standards. Safety is a top priority both on the road and at the job sites, requiring you to follow all Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and company safety protocols.

The role demands hands-on operation of specialized concrete mixer trucks, including loading, mixing, and inspecting concrete to ensure that product specifications are met precisely. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks, and maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems. Effective communication with dispatch and plant teams is essential for efficient scheduling and routing, and your contribution to general plant or yard duties as needed will further support smooth operations.

This position is a great fit for hard-working, safety-focused, service-oriented individuals who want to be an integral part of a company with strong values and a commitment to employee success. SRM Concrete offers consistent local routes, which means no overnight stays away from home, and the company is closed every Sunday to ensure work-life balance. Drivers have the opportunity to receive competitive hourly pay with overtime after eight hours, eligibility for bonuses, and annual raises. The company supports career growth and advancement within a rapidly expanding operation, promoting an environment where dedication and effort are rewarded.

Beyond compensation and career development, SRM Concrete provides an outstanding benefits package that includes low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off and vacation, a 401(k) plan with a weekly company match, family days, and more. The team culture at SRM Concrete emphasizes hard work, respect, and teamwork, fostering a straightforward and dependable workplace where every team member is valued and supported.

For anyone looking to join a company where their role as a CDL driver transcends mere transportation and becomes a vital part of building America's future, SRM Concrete presents an ideal opportunity. By joining the SRM family, you commit to delivering service that sets the standard in the industry while enjoying the stability and support of a company that truly values its people.
