Easterseals Southern California is currently seeking a highly motivated Vocational Specialist 1 to join its team in Orange County. This full-time, hybrid position is based out of Irvine but involves travel within the Orange County area. The role offers a starting pay rate of $25 per hour with a Monday through Friday schedule, 37.5 hours per week, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. This position uniquely combines hands-on work with job seekers and business engagement, requiring the candidate to possess reliable transportation, insurance, and a clean DMV record. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.

As a Vocational Specialist, you will serve as the critical link connecting employers with job seekers, enabling meaningful employment that goes beyond simply holding a job. Your work will revolve around guiding individuals through a thorough discovery process to identify their strengths, abilities, and ideal work environments. You'll be tasked with developing customized job search strategies featuring detailed timelines and supporting job seekers throughout the interview and onboarding process to ensure success.

This role calls for a professional who can identify and cultivate community employment opportunities and maintain meaningful business relationships. It requires an entrepreneurial spirit combined with excellent communication and negotiation skills to advocate effectively for individuals and innovative employment practices.
