The Crew Member position at Angry Chickz is designed for individuals dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences through attention to detail and teamwork. This role involves performing various essential functions in the kitchen including food preparation, cooking, and sanitation to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Crew Members will receive comprehensive training on different stations, including frying, cashiering, prepping, seasoning, breading, and expediting. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English
  • able to read English
  • ability to read and speak Spanish is extremely helpful but not mandatory
  • wearable Angry Chickz uniform and non-slip shoes
  • physically able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend and twist at the waist
  • occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • able to use hands for grasping tools such as knives and spatulas
  • able to handle exposure to extreme heat, cold, moisture, and cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook or similar role within a restaurant or food service setting
  • knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
  • ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
  • previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
  • must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of company recipes and preparation
  • ensure food is prepared with care and of the best quality, flavor, and presentation
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the line
  • maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles
  • support the dietary department by following specific dietary requirements for meals
  • ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
