Job Description
La Quinta is a recognized brand within the hospitality industry, known for providing comfortable and affordable accommodations to travelers across the United States and internationally. As part of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family, La Quinta operates numerous properties offering quality service and amenities tailored to meet the needs of diverse guests. With a commitment to enhancing guest experiences, La Quinta continues to innovate by integrating new services and programs that elevate convenience and satisfaction. One such innovation is the Bright Side Kitchen by La Quinta, a ghost kitchen initiative designed to provide high-quality food and beverage services directly to guests, including off-premise delivery and in-room dining options. This reflects La Quinta's dedication to evolving guest expectations and delivering tailored hospitality solutions in a competitive market.
The role offered is a unique opportunity to join La Quinta's innovative culinary team, supporting the Bright Side Kitchen ghost kitchen program. This position is a solo, self-managed culinary role, with working hours from approximately 3pm to 11pm, five nights a week. The successful candidate will leverage their passion for food and dedication to quality in a fast-paced, delivery-focused kitchen environment. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking a diverse range of menu items according to standardized recipes while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and safety. This role goes beyond traditional kitchen duties; it involves active contribution to program planning and development to help expand and refine this pilot food service initiative. The kitchen operates behind the scenes, aiming to revolutionize food and beverage offerings at La Quinta by Wyndham, creating a scalable and guest-centric dining experience.
This is an excellent position for those with proven experience in food preparation and culinary practices, especially in fast-paced environments. Candidates will find the opportunity rewarding by playing an integral part in shaping a new chapter in hospitality dining experiences. The pay rate is competitive at $16.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package with health and dental insurance, paid time off, paid training, vision insurance, employee discounts, and a flexible schedule. Located in person at the La Quinta property, this role emphasizes hands-on culinary expertise combined with the chance to grow professionally within a respected hotel brand. Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply in person to discuss the opportunity directly with a manager, ensuring a personal introduction to the La Quinta team and culture.
