Job Description
Xanitos, Inc. is a distinguished management company specializing in providing vital support services for healthcare facilities. Their expertise encompasses hospital housekeeping, patient transport, central laundry services, and patient observation services. Xanitos is recognized for its innovative patented XRO System, a cutting-edge cleaning methodology specifically designed for patient rooms, which significantly enhances hygiene and operational efficiency. As a privately owned company, Xanitos prioritizes delivering superior service quality that consistently exceeds client expectations. The impact of their services is evident across the hospitals they serve, marked by improved cleaning standards, elevated HCHAPS scores reflective of patient satisfaction, reduced hospital-acquired infection (HAI) risks, faster hospital bed turnaround times, and a substantial decrease in operational costs. This combination of quality and efficiency positions Xanitos as a leader in healthcare facility management.
Xanitos is currently hiring full-time and part-time Hospital Housekeepers for Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital located in Clarksville, Tennessee. These roles are available across all shifts, including first shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., mid-shift from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with rotational shifts covering weekends and holidays. The hourly pay for this role is $16.00, and immediate offers will be extended to qualified candidates. This presents a compelling opportunity for individuals seeking rewarding work in a healthcare environment where their efforts directly contribute to patient care and facility safety.
The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper's role is integral to maintaining the clean and orderly condition of healthcare facilities. These professionals perform essential cleaning tasks throughout various areas of the hospital campus, including patient rooms, hallways, lounges, restrooms, elevators, and other work areas. The position demands meticulous attention to detail and adherence to high hygiene standards, which play a critical role in preventing infections and promoting a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities may vary depending on specific client needs, industry regulations, and operational necessities, reflecting the dynamic nature of healthcare settings.
Hospital Housekeepers are responsible for daily tasks such as cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trims; sweeping and vacuuming floors; dusting furniture and equipment; polishing metalwork; washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills; emptying wastebaskets; transporting trash to designated disposal areas; replenishing bathroom supplies; and moving small equipment or tools between departments. These duties require physical stamina and the ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
Applicants for this role should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with janitorial or medical cleaning experience considered advantageous. Candidates must pass post-offer medical examinations, background checks, and drug screening. The physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and other motions frequently necessary for thorough cleaning and maintenance.
Xanitos is committed to supporting its workforce with comprehensive benefits that promote health, financial security, and personal well-being. Eligible employees may access medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; life, accident, and disability insurance; 401K retirement plans; employee assistance programs (EAP); employee wellness initiatives; crew shoe reimbursement; paid time off including vacation, sick leave, holidays, bereavement, and jury duty; and various employee discounts for entertainment and leisure activities. This benefits package underscores Xanitos' dedication to fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture for all team members.
