The role of the VIP Travel Consultant at BCD Travel is an exciting opportunity based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This full-time, hybrid position offers a unique blend of remote and onsite work, with Monday and Tuesday remote and Wednesday through Friday onsite at the client's offices. The working hours are from 9 am to 6 pm Eastern Time, and the consultant will function as a high-touch concierge providing exceptional service to key executive-level travelers. This position requires a deep understanding of the corporate travel sector and the ability to independently manage complex travel requests received through various channels such as phone and email.
As a VIP Travel Consultant, you will be the trusted point of contact for executive travelers, delivering active travel consultation that includes detailed travel itinerary management and the up-selling of relevant products and services. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of travel plans while adhering to client travel policies, regulatory requirements, and supplier rules. You will utilize BCD Travel's specialized tools and systems to search, confirm, and modify travel reservations, maintaining thorough knowledge of DOT, TSA, passport, and visa regulations.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from the corporate travel management industry, particularly with VIP travel clients. Proficiency in the Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills in English. The ability to work onsite full-time in Indianapolis is mandatory, given the hybrid nature of the role. Flexibility in scheduling to meet operational needs is also a key component of this job.
