Job Description

FIFA World Cup 26 is poised to be one of the most monumental sporting events, uniting fans and players from across the globe in a celebration of excellence, competition, and cultural exchange. Marking the first time the tournament will feature 48 teams and be hosted by three countries — Canada, Mexico, and the United States — this event is set to redefine what it means to deliver world-class sports entertainment. The organizing body behind FIFA World Cup 26 is committed to providing a seamless, high-quality experience for all involved parties, including athletes, officials, guests, and fans. Their mission emphasizes inclusivity, innovation, leadership, and vision in every operational aspect of the tournament.

Among the critical roles integral to the successful execution of this event is the position of VIP Hotel Manager located in San Francisco, the hub of VIP accommodations. This position embodies the intersection of hospitality excellence and large-scale event operations. The VIP Hotel Manager will be a key member of the FIFA World Cup 26 Accommodation team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of FIFA-related operations at the VIP hotel, ensuring an impeccable experience for VVIP guests. This includes coordinating accommodations, meeting spaces, logistics, invoicing, issue resolution, and close collaboration with hotel staff and FIFA headquarters to uphold rigorous FIFA service standards.

The role demands a high level of accountability, keen decision-making under pressure, inclusivity in communication across multiple teams, initiative in independently handling tasks and issues, and innovative thinking to continuously improve operations. As a leader, the VIP Hotel Manager will guide teams, delegate responsibilities, and align operational activities with FIFA's strategic goals, maintaining a clear vision of the tournament's impact. The position is contract-based, fixed term from June 6, 2026, to July 4, 2026, with the workplace onsite in San Francisco.

The responsibilities encompass a broad range of operational tasks, including consolidating service requirements from various FIFA functional areas, overseeing service activation for FIFA reservations, coordinating briefing sessions prior to guest arrivals, and participating in daily briefings to manage room allocations and updates. Additionally, the Manager is instrumental in managing the check-in process to guarantee a seamless experience for VIP guests, supervising all logistical operations, maintaining an organized booking system for meeting rooms, and ensuring the readiness of facilities and catering services daily.

Furthermore, the VIP Hotel Manager monitors hotel invoices, verifies room charges, and reconciles final bills against actual service usage to maintain fiscal accuracy and contractual compliance. They are expected to resolve issues promptly on-site, liaise effectively with stakeholders, and deliver detailed daily reports to FIFA headquarters. Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills such as Spanish or French considered an asset. Technological proficiency in MS Office suite and planning software is essential to support operational efficiency and collaboration.

This role represents a unique opportunity to engage in a globally recognized event that not only celebrates the highest levels of soccer competition but also requires unmatched hospitality leadership and operational expertise. Candidates will join a committed and diverse team that values equity, inclusion, and the highest standards of service.
