Job Description

FWC2026 is a historic and groundbreaking event set to host the FIFA World Cup 26 featuring 48 teams across three host nations: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This unprecedented format promises to transform the tournament landscape by increasing participation, fan engagement, and creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for players and attendees alike. As a celebration of sport and unity, the organization is committed to excellence, innovation, and creating a world-class operational environment for all stakeholders. The event brings together a complex network of operational teams, including accommodation, hospitality, event management, and logistics, all working collaboratively to ensure flawless execution on a scale never seen before.

The Manager VIP Hotel role is a critical leadership position within the FIFA World Cup 26 Accommodation team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager VIP/Venue Hotels. Based in Dallas, this role demands on-site presence and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the dynamic needs of the tournament. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the VIP Hotel's entire operational scope, including the activation of reserved FIFA services, guest accommodations, meeting spaces, and logistics management. This role requires close collaboration with various FIFA Functional Areas and hotel staff to uphold premium service standards and ensure an exceptional experience for VVIP guests, including players, officials, and dignitaries.

In this leadership capacity, the Manager VIP Hotel will consolidate requirements from all FIFA functional departments at the VIP Hotel, providing centralized oversight and reporting to hotel management and FIFA headquarters. Duties include coordinating hotel briefings, managing room assignments to FIFA service levels, and verifying guest billing and invoicing with impeccable accuracy. Daily meetings with hotel teams and FIFA stakeholders will be crucial to review arrivals, update rooming lists, and quickly resolve any on-site issues that arise.

The role demands strong problem-solving skills, decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and leadership as detailed in the FIFA World Cup 26 Skills Framework. This framework emphasizes accountability, taking initiative, fostering teamwork, and demonstrating vision in anticipating operational needs and impacts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury or high-end hotel service management, with proven experience overseeing VIP guest experiences and managing critical client relationships.

Given the scale and prestige of the FIFA World Cup 26, candidates must bring a professional attitude, excellent communication skills in English (additional languages such as Spanish or French are advantageous), and proficiency with planning and collaboration technology such as MS Office Suite and project management tools. Education requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, leadership, or related fields, with postgraduate education in international organizations or sport management considered a plus but not mandatory.

Working at FIFA26 offers a unique opportunity to be part of a world-renowned event that celebrates diversity, equality, and excellence. The fixed-term contract position based in Dallas provides a supportive and inclusive workplace for those passionate about event management and hospitality leadership at the highest level. This role is ideal for driven professionals looking to influence one of the most significant sporting events on the global calendar and leave a lasting legacy of outstanding service and operational success.
