About the Role: The VIP Hotel Manager role is a fixed term contract position based in Seattle, embedded within the Tournament Time Department and reporting directly to the Senior Manager of VIP/Venue Hotels. This critical position is part of the FIFA World Cup 26 Accommodation team, playing an instrumental role in coordinating and managing all aspects related to the VIP hotel experience for the tournament. The manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless operation and exceptional service delivery for VVIP guests during the World Cup period from June 8, 2026, to July 9, 2026.

This role demands a highly skilled professional who can lead, coordinate, and drive multiple operational facets including service activation, guest accommodations, logistics, meeting coordination, and financial controls in collaboration with hotel staff and FIFA headquarters. It requires expertise in luxury hotel environments and the ability to manage high-profile client expectations while maintaining FIFA’s service standards.

The VIP Hotel Manager must consolidate requirements across FIFA functional areas, manage room allocations and guest check-ins, coordinate meeting spaces and logistics, oversee invoice and account reconciliations, and resolve any on-site issues ensuring world-class hospitality for all VVIP guests. This position demands a strong leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, and the capability to make swift decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, management, leadership, or entrepreneurship
  • postgraduate education focusing on international organizations or sport management preferred but not required
  • 5 years of experience in planning and leading in a guest-related service environment
  • strong background in managing high-end or luxury hotel services ensuring VIP and VVIP guest experiences meet premium standards
  • proven ability to manage high-profile clients and coordinate with hotel management
  • experience in monitoring invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring contract compliance with hotel services
  • ability to liaise with FIFA functional areas, hotel staff, and other key stakeholders to implement service levels and operational plans
  • skilled in on-the-spot issue resolution ensuring smooth operations under pressure
  • understanding of tournament operations and large-scale accommodation management
  • fluent in English, Spanish and/or French proficiency a plus
  • proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project as well as planning software and online collaboration tools

Job Duties

  • Consolidate requirements from all FIFA functional areas at the VIP hotel
  • provide a centralized overview to hotel management and FIFA headquarters
  • oversee the activation of all FIFA-reserved services at the VIP hotel
  • coordinate the hotel briefing before first arrivals
  • participate in daily meetings with hotel staff and FIFA functional areas
  • manage and verify rooming lists ensuring accurate room assignments per FIFA service levels
  • conduct pre-checks of VVIP suites to ensure correct room setup and collateral placement
  • ensure a seamless check-in process by briefing reception staff and preparing room keys for VVIP guests
  • coordinate and supervise all logistical operations including storage and deliveries
  • centralize and oversee the booking schedule for meeting room requirements across all functional areas
  • ensure daily readiness of meeting rooms and food and beverage services
  • manage the relationship with the hotel during the implementation of the FIFA Club
  • provide daily reporting and participate in meetings with FIFA headquarters
  • address and resolve on-site issues with hotel staff and FIFA functional areas
  • monitor hotel invoices and verify account accuracy daily
  • conduct daily checks of guest charges to be settled at check-out
  • reconcile final invoices with actualized room usage ensuring credits and complimentary rooms are applied
