The role of VIP Birthday Party Host at LEGOLAND California Resort is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of creating memorable moments for guests celebrating special occasions. This position is part of the VIP Experiences team within the larger commercial division, focusing on delivering best-in-class service by hosting birthday parties, assisting VIP guests with LEGO build events, and supporting various commercial activities throughout the resort. The VIP Birthday Host plays a key role in ensuring that every VIP guest feels valued and celebrated through personalized, engaging interactions. The role requires creativity, high energy, and the ability to engage with guests of all ages while maintaining a strong focus on guest safety and flow during experiences and events. Those in the role will also have opportunities to cross-train in areas such as admissions and general guest services, broadening their skill set and understanding of resort operations. This position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, and a passion for guest service. Offering a pay range of $18.00 per hour, the role requires flexibility in work hours including evenings, weekends, and possibly unsociable hours, reflecting the seasonal and event-driven nature of the resort. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds, requiring stamina and a readiness to work in varied weather conditions. Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year previous guest service role experience
- enjoys working directly with guests
- possesses ability to execute tasks in an orderly and timely manner
- extensive knowledge of LEGOLAND Parks, the LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments or ability to quickly learn
- ability to facilitate workshops for large groups
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work well under pressure
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Check in guests for VIP Experience builds
- serve as a build assistant
- host LEGOLAND California birthday parties
- assist with set up and break down of corporate events
- support additional commercial duties as needed
- provide memorable guest service while engaging with guests
- collaborate with Guest Excellence team to create memorable experiences
