Job Description

The Graton Resort & Casino, located in Sonoma County, California, is a premium entertainment and hospitality destination offering guests a sophisticated blend of gaming, dining, and live entertainment experiences. As part of the Harrah's Entertainment and Caesars Entertainment family, the resort is dedicated to providing exceptional service, luxury amenities, and a vibrant atmosphere to visitors from around the region and beyond. The casino combines the excitement of gaming with fine dining establishments, bars, and lounges to offer a comprehensive experience for all patrons. This well-established resort prides itself on cultivating a company-wide culture that emphasizes hospitality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction.

The VIP Bartender position at Graton Resort & Casino plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service expected by the resort's discerning clientele. The role is designed for bartenders who possess extensive knowledge of drink menus, including wines, spirits, and specialty beverages. This position involves full beverage service responsibilities within the bar and lounge areas, including the integration of food and wine pairing services where necessary. Bartenders at Graton are expected to demonstrate proficiency in drink preparation, adhere strictly to company standards for pouring and portion control, and maintain an organized and well-stocked work environment. Moreover, a VIP Bartender must be adept at using point-of-sale systems responsibly, accurate cash handling, and managing inventory to ensure smooth operations.

Beyond beverage preparation, the VIP Bartender acts as an ambassador for the casino’s brand, actively engaging with guests, anticipating their needs, and ensuring a memorable service experience. The role demands a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and physical stamina to manage the demanding pace of a full-service bar. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess or be able to obtain all necessary certifications, including responsible beverage service and food handler certifications, along with a regulatory license from the Graton Gaming Commission. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as bartenders are required to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.

This full-time role supports the resort’s mission to uphold its reputation as a premier entertainment destination by delivering impeccable service standards and nurturing a welcoming environment. By joining Graton Resort & Casino as a VIP Bartender, you become part of a dynamic team committed to excellence, teamwork, and continued professional development in the hospitality industry.
