The role of the Sales and Marketing Executive at Grand Sierra Resort is a critical leadership position that reports directly to the General Manager. This role is designed for an experienced professional with substantial expertise in sales and marketing management within the hospitality or related industries. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute a comprehensive revenue maximization strategy for the hotel property. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to both strategic planning and operational execution to ensure the ongoing profitability and growth of the resort. This includes leading the sales team, setting measurable sales goals, and cultivating relationships with brand leadership to maximize the property’s brand value. The position requires a candidate who can demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, strategic vision, and a commitment to exceeding client expectations. Moreover, the individual must be capable of managing complex initiatives at both regional and national levels while maintaining a hands-on approach to daily operational challenges. Collaboration, communication, and a strong customer-centric focus are essential attributes for success in this role. The candidate should be comfortable working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Additionally, maintaining appropriate certifications such as Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness card is mandatory for compliance purposes. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business or related field
- Minimum of 7 years sales and marketing management experience
- Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated to meeting and/or exceeding client expectations
- Ability to read, write, and perform math at advanced levels
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Ability to work flexible shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Maintain appropriate Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness card
- Must be able to push/pull 25lbs or less
- Must consistently exhibit courteous, respectful, and appropriate communications
- Reliable attendance and timely completion of responsibilities
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years sales and marketing management experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field is required
- Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
- Outstanding leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level guests and partners
- Dedicated to meeting and/or exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients
Job Duties
- Participate as collaborative, key member of the Executive team to ensure business success
- Develop and maintain the overall hotel revenue maximization plan for the property
- Provide regular updates to GM and rest of executive team as appropriate
- Develop and implement regional and national revenue-generating strategic initiatives
- Build and grow the sales team through hiring and development
- Provide visible leadership and communications to the sales organization
- Drive results through the hotel sales teams by ensuring sales goals, targets, and forecasts are met
