The Vice President of Operations role at Proof of the Pudding is a critical leadership position within their Dallas operations. This position requires an accomplished hospitality management professional with a proven track record in multi-site food and beverage leadership. The ideal candidate will oversee leadership teams, financial management, and strategic operational processes, ensuring consistent excellence across various venues. The role emphasizes expanding current management development programs and enhancing existing processes related to financial oversight, safety regulations, and compliance with industry standards.

As the Vice President of Operations, the successful candidate will act as a pivotal figure supporting property leadership teams across multiple venues. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets, financial performance, food safety, alcohol, beverage and menu compliance, and adherence to the company’s established standards. This position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to build and maintain client and vendor relationships, and a strategic mindset focused on innovation and best practices in food and beverage operations.

The VP of Operations will also be instrumental in monitoring national and regional trends in food and beverage to keep Proof of the Pudding ahead of competitors. The role involves close collaboration with regional and home office leaders to drive innovation, coach the operations management teams, and uphold the highest standards of safety and sanitation. Additionally, the role involves conducting performance reviews, career development planning, and managing administrative duties, including expense report processing and scheduling visits to venues and major events.

This position offers a competitive starting salary range of $150,000 to $175,000 annually, with opportunities for percentage-based bonuses. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • 10 plus years of experience in multi-site food and beverage leadership
  • proven financial oversight and budget management skills

Job Duties

  • Function as the key point person for property leadership teams
  • support teams on all food and beverage related items including budgets, financial performance, food safety, alcohol regulations, training, brand compliance, beverage compliance, menu compliance and adhering to company standards
  • represent Proof of the Pudding and business objectives at partner meetings
  • network and build relationships with clients and vendors
  • continually monitor national and regional food and beverage trends to ensure operations stay ahead of primary competitors
  • work with properties not meeting financial targets to analyze problems and develop action plans
  • collaborate with regional and home office leadership to drive innovation and best practices
  • coach the operations management team
  • oversee and ensure highest standards of safety and sanitation
  • complete team member performance reviews and career development planning
  • respond to emails, phone calls and related administrative duties
  • review and process expense reports
  • schedule and attend meetings and visits to all venues and major events
