Job Description
Pro Hockey Partners, LLC, operating as the Trenton Ironhawks, is a professional minor league hockey organization committed to excellence both on and off the ice. As a key entity in the sports entertainment landscape, the Trenton Ironhawks focus on delivering an exceptional fan experience while driving community engagement and business growth. The organization plays a vital role in the regional sports culture, attracting fans with high-energy games, top-tier athletic talent, and community-driven initiatives. Established and managed with a clear vision of sustainable growth, the Trenton Ironhawks are dedicated to enhancing the brand's prestige and influence through strategic marketing, strong operational infrastructure, and community involvement.
The Vice President of Marketing & Operations is a senior executive leadership position reporting directly to the President of the Trenton Ironhawks. This role demands a seasoned professional with a creative marketing vision combined with rigorous fiscal discipline and profound expertise in sports entertainment operations. The successful candidate will oversee the organization’s entire operational framework, including Business Operations, Community and Corporate Relations, Revenue Generation, Game Day Execution, and General Management. The Vice President will be charged with safeguarding the integrity of the Ironhawks brand, boosting ticket sales and sponsorship revenue, and ensuring flawless operations across all departments.
With a hands-on leadership approach, the Vice President will manage day-to-day business operations, fostering collaboration among various teams such as ticket sales, marketing, sponsorship, social media, and merchandise. This leader will also serve as a liaison with key stakeholders like CURE Insurance Arena management and the Oak View Group to optimize game day operations and enhance fan experiences. Responsibilities extend to financial oversight, technology management, staff supervision, and community relationship building. Successful candidates will contribute to long-term strategic development, nurturing high-impact partnerships with local businesses, government entities, and regional organizations while maintaining a strong presence as ambassadors for the team and the sport.
This role offers an executive-tier base salary complemented by performance and revenue bonuses, reflecting the critical value of this position to the organization’s success. Additionally, a comprehensive corporate benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and corporate relocation assistance, supports the well-being and stability of the Vice President. Applicants with between 4 to 6 years of progressive leadership experience in professional sports—preferably hockey—are encouraged to apply, bringing a strong background in business administration, marketing, contract negotiation, budget management, and high-level staff supervision.
Working hours are flexible and aligned with the dynamic nature of professional hockey, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Trenton Ironhawks uphold equal employment opportunity principles, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds to contribute to the team's vision and legacy.
