Job Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive professional experience in experience design, innovation, strategy, research, consulting, or related fields

Job Duties

  • establish and lead innovation capability for customer research, observational insights, trend and foresight analysis, and signal spotting
  • conduct competitive and industry scans and explore emerging technologies to identify risks and opportunities
  • synthesize insights into actionable strategies and concepts
  • serve as trusted thought partner to executive leadership on emerging customer needs
  • advocate for customer experience balancing customer needs with business objectives
  • translate insights into experience strategies and design concepts across physical, digital, and experiential touchpoints
  • lead enterprise journey mapping, service design, and experience definition efforts
  • oversee concept ideation and visualization ensuring brand alignment
  • guide concept validation across desirability, feasibility, and viability
  • partner with brand, digital, operations, and technology teams to integrate experience improvements at scale
  • lead end-to-end enterprise innovation from portfolio prioritization to experimentation and scaling
  • orchestrate product innovation agenda across functions ensuring alignment and focus on high-value opportunities
  • lead Innovation Lab as an experimentation and learning platform
  • define and oversee structured approaches for prototyping, testing, pilot design, experimentation, learning agendas, and performance measurement
  • build and manage external innovation ecosystem including startups, technology partners, academic institutions, and collaborators
  • develop and manage strategic partnerships to accelerate learning, experimentation, and scale
  • represent Marriott as a leader in experience design and innovation
  • lead innovation workshops, design sprints, and problem framing sessions for senior teams
  • build enterprise innovation and design thinking capability through training, tools, and frameworks
  • establish common language, methodologies, and standards for consistent innovation practices
  • inspire and lead a high-performing global team embodying company values
