Job Description

Brightview Senior Living is a premier senior living community that is dedicated to providing exceptional care and vibrant lifestyles for its residents. Known for its industry-leading standards and commitment to excellence, Brightview offers an inclusive and supportive environment where both residents and staff can flourish. The community emphasizes not only the physical well-being of seniors but also their emotional, intellectual, and social engagement. With a robust range of programs and a passionate team, Brightview Senior Living strives to create an atmosphere that feels like home while fostering an active and joyful life for its residents. The organization places a special emphasis on employee growth, development, and advancement, offering comprehensive benefits and a culture that values diversity and innovation.

The Vibrant Living Assistant role at Brightview Senior Living is a unique and fulfilling position that centers around enriching the lives of senior residents. Sometimes referred to as an Activities Assistant in other organizations, Brightview believes this title underrepresents the importance and vibrancy of the role. The Vibrant Living Assistant is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a diverse range of activities and programs designed to stimulate the spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional well-being of residents. This role is more than just facilitating events; it involves forming meaningful connections with residents to understand their interests and tailor programming that fosters engagement and fulfillment.

This position includes responsibilities such as promoting community events through various communication channels including social media, email, and newsletters to ensure residents and their families are aware of the exciting activities available. The Vibrant Living Assistant participates actively in events like games, painting, singing, and music sessions, helping to organize and run these activities efficiently. Additionally, those qualified and aged 21 or over may drive the company vehicle to transport residents to and from off-site events, adding an element of mobility and adventure to the programming.

Salary for this role ranges from $17.50 to $20.25 per hour, reflecting factors such as experience, qualifications, and community size. The compensation package does not include bonuses or incentives but is complemented by a robust benefits program. Brightview regularly reviews salary ranges to remain competitive and fair.

Working at Brightview Senior Living means being part of a team that values professional growth and personal fulfillment. The organization fosters a positive work culture where creativity and energy are encouraged, and employees can use their unique talents—whether they are singers, dancers, artists, poets, historians, or trivia enthusiasts—to enhance the quality of life for seniors. This role is perfect for those who are enthusiastic, energetic, and eager to connect deeply with a diverse resident community. Brightview’s commitment to diversity and equal opportunity means that all employees are respected and valued for their unique perspectives and contributions.
