The Small Animal Internal Medicine Service, a critical component of this system, delivers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services to small animal patients, emphasizing collaboration, outstanding patient care, and excellence in client service. This facility is equipped with the latest technology and staffed by board-certified specialists, residents, veterinary students, and skilled technical teams who work together to ensure the highest standards of veterinary medicine are maintained. Employees here are part of a dynamic and supportive team that not only strives for clinical excellence but also prioritizes teaching and research to advance the veterinary profession.
We are currently seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Small Animal Internal Medicine team. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting specialty patient care through technical, clinical, and procedural assistance. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support for advanced diagnostic procedures, anesthesia and sedation, minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy and endoscopy, and coordination of specialty services including radioactive iodine (I-131) treatment for feline patients. Depending on qualifications and experience, hires may be placed at the RVT II or RVT III level, with the RVT III role offering additional leadership responsibilities including mentorship and workflow coordination.
This role requires an individual who is passionate about veterinary medicine and enjoys the challenge of working in a team environment focused on collaboration and client communication. The technician will be integral in maintaining efficient clinical operations in a high-volume referral hospital setting, ensuring timely and quality patient care, managing specialized equipment, and supporting hospital safety and infection control protocols. The job includes communication with clients regarding patient care and follow-up, assisting with clinical teaching duties, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards for treatments like I-131.
The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $22.11 to $30.29 per hour based on experience and level of appointment, supported by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, employee discounts, and continuing education opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for veterinary technicians seeking to advance their careers in a specialty setting that values clinical expertise, professional growth, and a supportive community environment.
