Job Description
Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic is a premier veterinary care provider located in Silicon Valley, known for its commitment to unparalleled patient care and exceptional customer service. As an AAHA-accredited establishment with a six-doctor practice, this clinic emphasizes a "patient first" approach, serving a diverse range of animal patients from bullfrogs to bulldogs. With a strong dedication to innovative and compassionate veterinary practices, Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic proudly implements Fear Free methods to ensure a stress-free environment for animals. Additionally, the clinic holds the distinguished status of an AAFP Cat-Friendly Practice, underscoring its specialized care for feline patients.
Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic maintains a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes the well-being of its team members just as much as its patients. The clinic fosters a fun, collaborative, and educational environment where staff are encouraged to learn, grow, and support one another. Employees benefit from consistent scheduling and a healthy work-life balance, vital components in maintaining high morale and delivering quality care. This family-oriented practice not only values animal care but also nurtures a team-based approach that highlights camaraderie, respect, and professional development.
Currently, Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join its dedicated team, offering a competitive salary ranging from $22 to $25 per hour depending on experience. The role involves working four ten-hour shifts scheduled Monday through Saturday between 8 am and 6 pm, ensuring continuity and efficiency in client care operations. As a Veterinary Receptionist, the successful candidate will play a crucial role as the frontline ambassador of the clinic, warmly greeting clients and their pets, managing appointment scheduling and client communications, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for all visitors.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a busy multi-doctor scheduling system, and a proficiency in processing payments and handling sensitive client inquiries with professionalism and compassion. The receptionist will also work closely with technicians and doctors to maintain patient flow and will help uphold the clinic's high standards for cleanliness, organization, and communication. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, appreciates the value of teamwork, and is passionate about contributing to the health and happiness of animal patients and their owners.
Joining Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic means becoming part of a culture that deeply values mentoring, continuous education, and recognition of employee achievements. The clinic provides comprehensive benefits designed to support its staff both professionally and personally, including flexible compensation, 401(k) matching, health and wellness insurance options, tuition support, generous paid time off, and a variety of lifestyle benefits. The clinic is also committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a workplace where all team members feel authentic, welcomed, and empowered to reach their full potential. This Veterinary Receptionist position offers a rewarding career opportunity for those seeking to contribute meaningfully to the veterinary field within a supportive and dynamic professional setting.
