Newport Hills Animal Hospital is a well-established veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets and outstanding service for pet owners. Situated in a community that values the health and happiness of animals, Newport Hills is recognized for its compassionate approach to veterinary care and its commitment to professional excellence. As a part of a larger vet network, the hospital embraces modern veterinary practices while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere for clients and their furry family members. The hospital offers a variety of services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and diagnostics, making it a trusted resource for pet owners in the region.
We are currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. This role is vital to the hospital's operations and reputation as it is the first point of contact for clients and patients. As the 'face' and 'voice' of Newport Hills Animal Hospital, the Veterinary Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service and ensure smooth communication between clients and veterinary professionals. The position is full-time, with four 10-hour workweeks scheduled, and offers a starting salary from $20.00 per hour. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about animal care and customer service to build a rewarding career in the veterinary field.
The Veterinary Receptionist at Newport Hills Animal Hospital plays a pivotal role in maintaining a smooth, efficient, and friendly environment. Responsibilities include handling client communications, scheduling appointments, processing payments, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and welcoming lobby. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, as it involves educating clients about animal care, flea control, food, and preventive medicine options. Working closely with the veterinarians and support staff, the receptionist supports many aspects of the hospital's daily functions, helping to foster a cohesive and caring team environment. Candidates who love animals, demonstrate reliability, multitask effectively in busy settings, and have excellent phone and computer skills will thrive in this position. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and withstand an active day of walking, bending, squatting, standing, and reaching. The schedule also requires availability to work at least one weekend day.
Newport Hills Animal Hospital fosters a culture of inclusion, striving to create a workplace where every employee feels valued and empowered. We celebrate diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds, emphasizing a supportive environment where team members can bring their authentic selves to work. This position not only offers competitive compensation but also a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees and their families. If you are motivated by a love for animals and the desire to provide top-tier service to pet owners, this role offers a fulfilling career path with opportunities for professional growth and development.
