Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a veterinary reception or customer service role
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Capable of walking, bending, squatting, standing, or reaching for a minimum eight-hour shift
  • Available to work a weekend day
  • Dependable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a veterinary hospital or similar customer service role
  • Excellent phone and computer skills
  • Positive and warm personality
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and energy levels
  • Strong communication skills

  • Team player with compassionate attitude

Job Duties

  • Be the smiling voice and face of the hospital—answering phones, booking appointments, and greeting clients and their pets
  • Build real relationships with clients who have been coming to the hospital for years
  • Help keep everything running smoothly: checking patients in/out, processing payments, managing records
  • Keep the lobby clean and organized for clients
  • Work closely with doctors
  • File medications and draw up vaccines
  • Educate clients regarding food, flea control, and preventative medicine
