Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in animal care and customer service
  • basic knowledge of veterinary services and common animal diseases
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
  • ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • positive attitude with teamwork orientation

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • advanced animal care experience
  • client and customer interaction experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment
  • knowledge of and ability to use medical abbreviations

Job Duties

  • Greet all clients with a positive greeting
  • answer phones
  • take messages and answer basic client questions
  • know the range of services the practice provides and the species it treats
  • advise clients and recommend services for their pets
  • differentiate and prioritize between routine cases and emergency cases and alert staff accordingly
  • maintain medical records
  • establish or understand medical record filing systems
  • handle all cash transactions including deposits and invoicing
  • be willing to be part of a supportive workplace
  • celebrate life events such as birthdays and anniversaries
