Job Description

Ambassador Animal Hospital is a dedicated and compassionate veterinary clinic committed to providing exceptional care to pets and their owners. We pride ourselves on being a team-oriented, one-doctor practice that values collaboration, professionalism, and a supportive work environment. Located in a community that loves and respects animals, we focus on delivering compassionate medicine while ensuring a great client experience. Our hospital offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere where both staff and patients can thrive, reflecting our philosophy that we are 'better together.' This means celebrating each other’s strengths and fostering a culture of continuous learning and mutual respect. We believe strongly in maintaining proper work-life balance and creating an enjoyable workplace where colleagues support each other not only professionally but also personally. Our team engages in a variety of social activities such as potlucks, games during staff meetings, and occasional outings like bowling or attending ball games, contributing to a fun and cohesive work culture.

We are currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is vital as the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, involving various responsibilities to facilitate smooth clinic operations. Working Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM, this position offers a negotiable salary based on your experience. Veterinary receptionists at Ambassador Animal Hospital are appreciated for their critical thinking, curiosity, and positive, can-do attitudes. They demonstrate reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced setting and show dedication to teamwork, teaching, and being taught. Above all, they have a commitment to compassionate medicine and providing exceptional client service.

The Veterinary Receptionist will greet clients and patients warmly and professionally, answer and route phone calls appropriately, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently. Additional duties include managing medical record requests, reminders, and basic administrative tasks. The role requires empathy and the ability to handle client concerns delicately while escalating issues when necessary. Outbound communications such as calls, texts, and emails to confirm appointments and follow up on patient care are also an integral part of this position.

At Ambassador Animal Hospital, veterinary receptionists benefit from a supportive environment that promotes mentoring and career advancement. The schedule ensures no nights or on-call shifts, with regular lunch breaks contributing to your well-being. The hospital offers flexibility with scheduling to maintain a healthy work-life balance. This position also benefits from numerous financial, wellness, workplace, and lifestyle perks including a retirement savings plan, health insurance options, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and employee discounts. We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, creating a workplace where every employee feels valued, empowered, and comfortable being their authentic self. If you are passionate about providing excellent client care and are eager to learn and grow in a nurturing professional environment, we encourage you to apply and join our vibrant team.
