PetVet Care Centers' Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency is a leading referral and 24/7 emergency hospital located in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Care Coordinator (also known as Veterinary Receptionist) on the team, you will be an integral part of a high-performing organization dedicated to superior care and exceptional service. The role involves performing a range of administrative and customer service functions, including managing lobby flow, handling appointments, calming distressed pet owners during high-stress situations, and supporting basic medical emergencies for pets and their owners.
In this role, you will assist with medication pickups, answer inquiries regarding services and products, and maintain accurate data management through practice management software, including billing and accounts. Additional duties include assisting with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, maintaining records, and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of the day for accurate financial transactions. The position requires excellent customer service skills in-person, over the phone, and during emergency situations. This role works a swing shift schedule with weekend shifts and rotating weekdays.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic
