Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to receive and place calls professionally
- Experience with client scheduling and medical record documentation
- Familiarity with veterinary software preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work weekend and holiday shifts
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion toward pets and clients
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or receptionist roles preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures preferred
- Proficiency with veterinary software preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Critical thinking skills to manage problem-solving and decision-making
- Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling
- Prioritize multiple tasks calmly and in an organized manner
- Maintain proper documentation including client and pet records
- Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, and prescription dispensing
- Utilize hospital computer systems for medical records and communication
- Manage financial transactions and follow cash and credit handling procedures
- Provide excellent customer service with professional communication
- Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care and treatment
- Maintain a positive attitude with clients, pets and team members
- Display empathy and compassion towards clients and pets
