Job Description

Our veterinary hospital is led by a team of dedicated veterinarians with decades of experience in animal health and emergency care. We operate a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest technology and medical equipment necessary to provide exceptional care for animals facing a wide range of emergencies, from minor injuries to severe, life-threatening conditions. The hospital includes four exam rooms, an on-site blood bank, and a fully stocked pharmacy to ensure immediate access to treatments and medications. Our surgical suite is outfitted with continuous critical care monitoring systems that enable our veterinary professionals to observe and care for each patient closely and continuously.

In addition to these facilities, we provide in-house radiology, lab analysis, and ultrasound services to ensure rapid diagnostics and personalized care plans for every patient. Our team, composed of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff, is committed to delivering the highest standard of compassionate care to pets and their owners at all hours. We operate 24/7 to accommodate emergencies anytime, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to animal welfare and client support. Our practice continually pursues advancements in veterinary medicine to incorporate the latest techniques and innovations into our treatment protocols.

The role we are currently seeking to fill is that of a Veterinary Receptionist. This crucial position serves as the first point of contact for clients and patients entering the hospital. The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and organized front desk environment, greeting clients and their pets with compassion and professionalism, answering client inquiries, and effectively triaging concerns to appropriate departments within the hospital. They manage communications through calls and emails, schedule appointments to optimize daily operations, and oversee client check-ins and check-outs including payment processing.

The ideal candidate for this role must demonstrate empathy and emotional support skills, particularly during times of distress or difficult medical outcomes, as our receptionists often interact with clients facing stressful emergency situations. Comfort with exposure to various clinical conditions, including unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases, is necessary to perform this role effectively. In addition to these core responsibilities, receptionists have opportunities to grow professionally through a variety of interactive and hands-on training sessions and continuing education programs designed to enhance their skills and knowledge within the veterinary field.

Overall, this position is perfect for those looking to master their reception duties and potentially advance into higher roles within the veterinary or customer service sectors. We encourage a team-oriented, compassionate, and organized individual who has strong communication skills and the desire to contribute positively to the daily operations and excellent care experience clients receive at our veterinary hospital.
