Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work four 10-hour day shifts per week including rotating weekends and holidays
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Empathetic and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to assess emergency situations quickly
- Reliable and punctual
- Basic computer literacy
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or a veterinary environment preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and appointment scheduling systems
- Compassionate and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Greet clients warmly and professionally upon entry
- Offer compassionate listening and clear communication both in person and on the phone
- Assess the urgency of emergency arrivals and categorize them appropriately
- Confirm appointments with clients and provide instructions for pet preparation
- Provide emotional support and resources to grieving clients
- Act as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains
- Respond to non-patient calls and direct them to appropriate staff members
