ADG operates over 40 primary practice locations along with numerous satellite locations nationwide, supported by more than 90 doctors dedicated to advancing clinical practice, research, and education in veterinary dermatology. As a recognized leader in the field, ADG contributes significantly to drug and product development through clinical trials while maintaining the largest dermatology residency program approved by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology, nurturing the next generation of veterinary dermatologists.
Animal Dermatology Clinic located in Pasadena is currently seeking a Receptionist to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal as the first point of contact between the clinic and its clients and plays a crucial part in fostering a positive and professional environment. Ideal candidates will embody an energetic, positive, and upbeat personality, demonstrating a strong commitment to the needs of the clinic. The Receptionist at ADG Pasadena is expected to take initiative, be punctual, accountable, and maintain a professional appearance and attitude when dealing with patients, clients, and colleagues. The ability to teach others, share ideas openly, and adapt to change reflects the collaborative and inclusive culture valued at the clinic.
The role demands excellent client service and communication skills, along with proficiency in phone etiquette and basic computer skills preferred. The successful applicant will be organized, detail-oriented, and adept at handling multi-tasking in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Duties include client service, answering phone calls, accurately taking messages, booking appointments, maintaining charts and computer records, managing pharmacy and retail sales, implementing marketing efforts, performing maintenance and housekeeping tasks, and managing financial responsibilities.
Physical requirements include the capability to lift up to 40 pounds and the ability to walk, bend, squat, stand, or reach consistently during an 8-hour workday. This position requires dependable attendance and experience in the public setting such as restaurant, retail, or service business is essential, with veterinary hospital or doctor’s office experience considered a plus.
The work schedule typically follows a 5-day workweek from Monday through Friday, with the possibility of shifting to a 4-day 10-hour workweek for full-time employees. ADG Pasadena offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation and holidays for full-time staff, competitive wages, monthly bonuses linked to clinic dietary sales performance, a variety of medical, dental, and vision benefits, and additional voluntary insurance options. The group also provides access to continuing education opportunities, uniforms, employee pet discounts, and retirement saving plans with employer matching. While this position primarily supports the Pasadena clinic, some travel may be required, reflecting the expansive reach and collaborative nature of Animal Dermatology Group.
