Job Requirements
- Utilizing standard office/business equipment

Job Qualifications
- Experience with veterinary software is preferred
- knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures

Job Duties
- Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling
- prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner
- maintain proper documentation through client and pet records
- greet clients and patients in the lobby after check-in
- load exam rooms and perform TPR, receive patient weight and medical history
- take an accurate patient history and enter it into the clinical record
- relay accurate signalment and history to DVM
- create and present estimates for all treatment plans based on doctor recommendations
- strong and clear communication skills between technical and DVM team
- clean and sanitize exam rooms
- cleaning, stocking, and laundry of hospital
- work efficiently between appointments and rooms to ensure no long wait times
- assist all clients by providing necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispense prescription items per veterinarian instructions, and schedule future appointments
- utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates
- manage financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following all cash and credit card handling procedures, and proper opening and closing procedures
- excellent customer service skills and exceptional level of professional communication
- advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, pet health needs, treatment recommendations and hospital services/procedures
- maintain positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets and teammates
- demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect
